Privacy Policy
Retirement Eagle keeps data collection to a minimum. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account info. If you create an account, we store the name/username and email address you provide, and a securely hashed password.
- Content you submit. Comments and reviews you write, along with the name you post under.
- Basic technical logs. Standard server logs (such as pages requested and approximate timing) used to keep the site running and secure.
We do not ask for financial account numbers, and we don't run invasive third-party ad-tracking.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in when you have an account. It is not used to track you across other websites.
How we use your information
- To operate the site and let you post comments and reviews;
- To moderate submissions before they appear publicly;
- To protect the site against abuse and keep it running reliably.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data where required by law, or with service providers (such as our hosting) that help us run the site. Comments and reviews you submit become public once approved, shown under the name you chose.
Third-party sites
Our directory links to other websites, which have their own privacy practices. This policy covers only Retirement Eagle.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data, or to remove a comment or review you posted. Contact the site operator to make a request.
Security & retention
We take reasonable measures to protect your data and keep it only as long as needed to run the site. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we work to minimize what we hold in the first place.
Children
Retirement Eagle is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
